12th March 2025 | Sure Thing Chapel, Las Vegas
At Dearest Love Photography, we’ve been lucky enough to photograph weddings all over the UK-but Sophie & Dan’s Las Vegas elopement was something truly special.
This was a total bucket-list wedding for us. Travelling to Las Vegas to capture such a vibrant, alternative, love-filled day was an absolute dream come true-and one we’ll never forget.
From hot pink heels to neon signs and a vintage chapel, this wedding was bold, beautiful, and bursting with personality.
Getting Ready in the Heart of Vegas
The day began at Planet Hollywood Las Vegas, where Sophie and Dan got ready in separate rooms with their closest friends nearby.
Sophie looked unreal in her stunning white, off-the-shoulder floor-length dress, paired with hot pink platform heels-pure Vegas glamour. Dan matched the vibe perfectly in his dusty pink suit and Vans, proving that style and comfort can absolutely go hand in hand.
Hair and makeup were done by a talented local Las Vegas team, getting Sophie camera-ready for her big moment.
A First Look (Vegas Style)
Before heading to the ceremony, Sophie and Dan shared the sweetest “first look” in the hotel corridor. We positioned ourselves at both ends to capture every reaction-and it did not disappoint.
This was followed by some seriously cool flash photography as they walked down the corridor, stepped into the elevator, and made their way towards their wedding adventure. Trendy, fun, and effortlessly stylish.
Saying “I Do” at Sure Thing Chapel
After hopping into a limo, we headed downtown to the iconic Sure Thing Chapel-and wow, what a venue.
With its kitsch vintage style, pink velvet curtains, and glowing neon heart, it’s one of the coolest chapels in Vegas. It suited Sophie & Dan’s bright, alternative vision perfectly.
Their ceremony was heartfelt, joyful, and full of laughter. Afterward, we captured romantic portraits inside the chapel, with their amazing vintage photobooth, and even in the famously iconic bathroom (yes, even the toilets here are photo-worthy!).
Downtown Adventures & Neon Dreams
Once officially married, we headed out to explore downtown Las Vegas.
We took couple portraits:
• Outside the chapel
• In and around the tattoo shop next door
• By the Easy and Ferguson motels signs
• Among colourful graffiti and street art
Every spot was just epic!
We then moved into the Fremont East District, grabbing shots with the famous Vegas Vertical sign and capturing Sophie & Dan walking through the streets with their banner.
Inside Four Queens Hotel & Casino, we took advantage of one of the few casinos that allows photography-snapping fun images with slot machines and bright lights.
A quick stop for drinks and their favourite Baby Guinness shots followed, before Sophie changed into an incredible short white sequin dress-perfect for the evening celebrations.
Flowers, Friends & Creative Details
Sophie carried the most incredible dried florals by @petalheadflowers, a UK-based supplier we’ve worked with many times and a true industry friend. Their brightly dyed, dried flowers were perfect for travelling to the USA-and for being reused at their UK celebration later in April.
They also had the cutest banner made by @daydreamer_creative_studio
, featuring “Just Married” on one side and “Las Vegas” with their date on the other. We work with Tanya all the time, so it was so special having another familiar creative involved in this dream day.
With just Sophie, Dan, ourselves, and four of their closest friends, the day felt intimate, relaxed, and incredibly meaningful.
Burgers, Fries & Just Married Vibes
Next stop: burgers! 🍔
We headed to In-N-Out Burger - 2900 W Sahara Ave for some well-earned food. From ordering at the counter to sharing fries and posing under the iconic sign, these moments were relaxed, real, and full of fun.
A Neon Museum Finale
For the grand finale, we had a booked session at the legendary Neon Museum Las Vegas from 5:45–6:45pm.
This was a total dream.
Surrounded by vintage Vegas signs, glowing colours, and their personalised banner, we created some of our favourite images ever. Every corner of the museum felt cinematic and magical.
As night fell, we returned downtown for flash photography with fully lit neon signs-ending the day exactly how it started: bold, colourful, and full of energy.
One for the Memory Books
After wrapping up, we headed back to the Flamingo Las Vegas on the strip, where we were staying, to back up our photos (very important!) before heading back out to celebrate.
We reunited with everyone downtown, where there was a live band playing emo classics, amazing vibes, and plenty of drinks flowing. It was the perfect end to a perfect day.
A Wedding That Changed Everything
Sophie & Dan didn’t just give us an incredible destination wedding to photograph-they gave us an unforgettable experience and a friendship we’ll treasure forever.
We are endlessly grateful that they trusted us with such a huge moment in their lives and brought us along on this adventure.
WHAT. A. DAY.
TAKE US BACK. 💖
If you’re dreaming of a destination wedding, elopement, or something totally different, we’d love to capture it for you.
