Olivia & Ben’s Colour-Explosion Bristol Wedding

At Dearest Love Photography, we absolutely adore couples who aren’t afraid to go all-in on colour, personality, and fun-and Olivia & Ben’s wedding was exactly that.


From glittery dresses to hot pink platforms and a full-on confetti colour explosion, their day in Bristol was bold, joyful, and unapologetically them. If ever there was a wedding that celebrated individuality, creativity, and love, this was it.

A Colourful Start at Home


The morning began with Olivia and her bridesmaids getting ready at her home in Bristol, while Ben and his groomsmen got ready just around the corner at a friend’s house.

With our two-photographer package, we were able to capture both sides of the morning-double the moments, double the memories.

Olivia styled her own hair and makeup, looking effortlessly beautiful, just LOOK at her incredible long hair. She was surrounded by her closest friends in their gorgeous glittery dresses, each in a different colour (Olivia loves glitter!)

Her incredible multicoloured flowers and flower crown were created by @goldenvalleymeadow, adding even more vibrancy to an already colourful morning.

Saying “I Do” at Bristol Register Office

By early afternoon, everyone made their way to the beautiful Bristol Register Office (The Old Council House) on Corn Street.

Arriving at 1pm, Olivia & Ben were ready for their 1:30pm ceremony-and what a ceremony it was. Emotional, joyful, fun and filled with so much love, it perfectly reflected who they are as a couple.

Olivia’s dress was nothing short of iconic: a glittering masterpiece by @aaboutevebridawear, paired with metallic hot pink platform heels. Absolute main-character energy.

Ben looked just as incredible in his green suit, paisley waistcoat and shirt, and burnt orange tie-a perfectly coordinated, colourful look.

Confetti, Colour & City Adventures


After the ceremony, guests gathered outside for one of the most vibrant confetti moments we’ve ever seen. Using biodegradable paper confetti by @yourconfetti, the air was filled with floating colour-pure magic.

From there, we captured group photos before heading off on foot towards the reception venue. Along the way, we stopped at colourful doorways, street art, and hidden city gems, creating relaxed and alternative couple portraits that truly reflected Olivia & Ben’s personalities.

These city walks are always some of our favourite moments-natural, fun, and full of laughter. No boring couple shots here!

A Show-Stopping Reception at Old Market Assembly


The celebrations continued at the incredible Old Market Assembly-one of Bristol’s coolest venues.

Located on West Street, this stunning building is home to an award-winning restaurant, an amazing drinks selection, a sun-soaked roof terrace, a performance stage, and even The Wardrobe Theatre inside. It’s creative, stylish, and full of character-just like Olivia & Ben.

Guests enjoyed welcome drinks, delicious canapés, and mingled with everyone around the venue, before sitting down for an incredible main meal.

A Quiz, Not Speeches (And We Loved It)


Instead of traditional speeches, Olivia & Ben treated their guests to a fun, interactive quiz after the meal-and it was such a hit.

Full of laughter, inside jokes, and friendly competition, it kept everyone entertained and added another personal touch to the day.

This was followed by mingling, cake cutting, and sweet treats, setting the scene for the evening celebrations.

Unique photos, Dancing & Glittery Magic


Just before evening guests arrived we pinched them for just 5 mins to embrace the unique spots of the venue, including the hallway to the Wardrobe Theatre which is just a vibe for iconic photos. As evening guests arrived at 7pm, the atmosphere lifted even more. They cut the cake and Olivia & Ben’s epic first dance was around 7:30pm.

Surrounded by their friends and family, glitter catching the light and music filling the room, it was the perfect way to start the party.

Jim & Kerri finished photography coverage after capturing all the big moments, joyful hugs, and dancefloor excitement.

A Wedding Full of Personality

Olivia & Ben’s wedding was a true celebration of colour, creativity, and confidence. Every detail-from wild flowers to glitter dresses and quiz fun-told their story.

They didn’t follow tradition for the sake of it. They created a day that felt right for them. And that’s exactly what we love to photograph.
